The Lauderdale County Tigers will play in Class 3A region eight during the 2018 season.

The Tigers should be in contention for a playoff spot in region eight this season. They will be looking to gain an advantage by hosting a first round postseason game. They have reached the playoffs every year since 2009 and will once again be in the hunt for a spot in 2018.

The Tigers open the 2018 season at home against non-region opponent Brooks on Thursday, August 23 at Robert Earl Grisham Stadium. Last year the Brooks Lions finished with an overall record of 8-3 and in second place in Class 5A region eight. The Lions lost in the second round of the Class 5A playoffs to Etowah by a score of 42-21.

Lauderdale County and Brooks have met a total of 49 times on the football field. The Tigers have a 21-28-0 record against the Lions. They last met in 2017 with Brooks winning by a score of 47-20.
